This March 6 – 7, 2018 Hamilton County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency Sponsored by Ohio Emergency Management Agency will be hosting OH-235 Emergency Planning Course.
Course Description: The goal of this “Free” course is to provide the students with training in the fundamentals of the emergency planning process, including the rationale behind planning. It will develop the students’ capacity for effective participation in the all-hazard emergency operations planning process to save lives and protect property threatened by disaster. Objective: Answer the question, “Why plan?”, describe the hazard analysis and capability assessment processes, describe the EOP format and content, identify types of community support, state the rationale for a team approach to planning, describe EOP coordination and marketing, relate exercises to the planning process strategies, describe plan maintenance.

Target Audience: This course is designed for emergency management personnel who share some responsibility for or play a role in planning for a disaster.
Recommended Prerequisite: There are no Pre-requisites for this course.

It is the goal of Ohio EMA to ensure that all students have the tools necessary to successfully complete the courses offered by Ohio EMA.
